Easter Faith and the Existential Vacuum

Osterwiese mit grünen Bokeh
Easter of 2018

Jesus’ tomb in Jerusalem is empty, so that we might be full –

full of courage in facing suffering and pain.

His tomb is empty, so that we might be full –

full of hope in facing life’s adversities.

Because of Jesus,

life is not “full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.”

Because of him,

life is full of peace.

Because of him,

even death itself cannot remove meaning from our lives.

Jesus’ tomb is empty, so that we might be full –

full of meaning and purpose,

both for this life and the life to come.

Happy Easter!
